Growing the Game

At Growing the Game we are passionate about sport and passionate about the many benefits gained from playing sport.

Sport provides great opportunities to meet new friends, improve fitness levels, learn a new or perfect an existing skill and experience the exhilaration of competition.

Growing the Game has a vision to engage as many people as possible in tennis – hence Growing the Game!

The Growing the Game coaching programmes are designed around great player to coach ratios to provide the best possible learning environment for the players.

Our coaching team use a unique & exclusive Growing the Game coaching resource, allowing them to have all the information they need within one bespoke designed mobile app. The Growing the Game coaches app, contains all the annual syllabuses for every year group, as well as other useful information.

Our syllabuses have 3 core elements. With detailed scheduling we can guarantee that no matter what the duration or the size of the lesson, all players will experience all 3. These are: Moving, Hitting & Thinking.

Our approach to coach education is simple, we work hard to make coach education accessible for as many people as possible. We do this by working closely with our partners to ensure opportunities are being created all year round.

We have two core Coach Education offerings; Coach Education qualification courses at the White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre and bespoke Coach Education qualification courses and Professional Development workshops which are delivered at our partners’ venues eg Schools, Colleges, Universities and Tennis Clubs.

Growing the Game exists to engage as many people as possible in tennis. In quality venues with quality staff Growing the Game provides excellent experiences where effort is highly valued and enjoyment is guaranteed.

To deliver this vision the following form our core values:

Quality: Unique and bespoke resources ensure our enthusiastic and professional staff are fantastically well prepared to deliver

Excellent Experiences: Both on court and in our customer service

Effort: From our staff and from all players is highly valued and we believe strongly that talent is not a fixed or pre-determined state but something that can be influenced through effort

Enjoyment: From all players, parents, other stakeholders and our own staff to keep us all loving tennis
